Terms of Service
Your agreement with Trekko
These consumer Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and Trekko, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. They apply when you use trekkoapp.com, the Trekko app, or another consumer service that links to these Terms. These Terms are effective August 25, 2026. By creating an account, accepting these Terms, buying or receiving a ticket, or using Trekko, you agree to them and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.
These Terms do not authorize you to list, promote, sell tickets for, or operate an event. An organizer, venue, promoter, or other business may use Trekko for those purposes only under a separate signed organizer agreement. That agreement governs all organizer business use. These Terms still apply when an organizer representative uses Trekko personally as an attendee or ticket buyer.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 to create or use a Trekko account. By creating an account, you certify that you are at least 18. Event organizers and venues set their own admission ages, which may be higher. Account eligibility does not guarantee admission. You are responsible for checking the event listing and bringing valid identification when required.
You must provide accurate, current information and complete any email or phone verification we require. You may not impersonate another person, create an account for someone without permission, or share your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account and must notify us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
Trekko's role
Trekko provides software that helps organizers list events, sell and manage tickets, communicate with attendees, and run admission. The organizer identified for an event is the seller and merchant of record for its tickets. When you obtain a ticket, your agreement for the event is with that organizer. The organizer, not Trekko, produces the event and is responsible for the listing, venue, performers, staffing, safety, accessibility, permits, admission decisions, legally required disclosures, and delivery of the event.
Trekko is not an organizer, venue, promoter, performer, or agent of an attendee. We may act as an organizer's limited payment-collection agent, issue tickets, route messages, and administer refunds, but those services do not make Trekko the seller or producer of the event. Organizers are independent businesses. Except for the limited role described here and in a signed organizer agreement, no organizer may bind Trekko or create a partnership, joint venture, franchise, employment, or fiduciary relationship with Trekko.
Event and venue rules
Event times, locations, lineups, age limits, dress codes, accessibility information, entry rules, and other listing details come from the organizer. They may change. Follow lawful organizer and venue rules, security procedures, and staff instructions. A ticket does not excuse you from an age restriction or guarantee admission if you arrive late, lack required identification, appear intoxicated, behave unsafely, or otherwise fail a disclosed or lawful entry rule.
Event risks
Live events can involve crowds, loud sound, flashing lights, alcohol, food, travel, communicable illness, physical activity, and the conduct of other people. You decide whether to attend and accept risks inherent in the event or arising from an organizer's or venue's operations, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Trekko does not control the venue, event staff, security, performers, crowd, food or beverage service, transportation, or attendee conduct. We may review an organizer or listing, but review does not guarantee that an organizer, venue, event, or attendee is safe, lawful, accurate, or suitable for you. Use reasonable judgment and follow emergency and safety instructions. Nothing in this section releases Trekko from a liability that applicable law does not allow us to waive.
Prices, fees, and payment
When Trekko displays a price for a paid ticket, the displayed total includes mandatory fees that are known and calculable at that time. Checkout identifies taxes and other permitted charges and shows the final amount before payment. Prices may change before you complete an order, but a confirmed order will not be repriced.
Paid orders are processed through Stripe on behalf of the organizer. You authorize the organizer and its payment provider to charge the payment method you select for the displayed total. Trekko does not store full payment-card numbers. Orders are not complete until payment is confirmed and Trekko issues the ticket. A pending reservation may expire if payment is not completed in time.
We may limit ticket quantities or reject or cancel an order when reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, bots, duplicate orders, purchase-limit evasion, a material pricing or listing error, a legal requirement, or a payment-provider decision. If we cancel a paid order for one of those reasons and no chargeback or other reversal has already returned the funds, we will initiate a refund to the original payment method.
Tickets, transfers, and resale
A ticket is a limited, revocable license for one person to seek entry to the listed event, subject to these Terms and the organizer's lawful rules. Ticket QR codes and ticket codes are credentials. Do not copy, forge, alter, publish, or use them more than once.
When transfer is available, use Trekko's transfer feature and send the ticket only to another verified Trekko account. Trekko does not charge a fee to transfer a ticket. The sender's QR code stops working when the transfer completes. Trekko does not currently provide a resale marketplace. Any transfer or resale must comply with applicable law and the ticket terms shown when you buy. Rights that cannot lawfully be restricted remain in effect.
Cancellations and refunds
The organizer sets the event's refund policy and remains responsible for event and refund obligations. All sales are final unless the event is cancelled, the organizer approves a refund, or applicable law requires one. If an organizer cancels an event, Trekko will initiate a refund of the purchase price, including the mandatory Trekko fee paid for the cancelled tickets, to the original payment method. For a partial approved refund, the corresponding mandatory Trekko fee is refunded as well. Your bank or card issuer controls when the credit appears.
Postponements, date or venue changes, attendee-requested refunds, and other event changes follow the organizer's disclosed policy and applicable law. Unless that policy or law says otherwise, refunds are not available for no-shows or denial of entry caused by failure to meet a disclosed age, identification, conduct, or entry requirement. Approved refunds go to the original payment method even if a ticket was transferred.
Communications
We may send service messages about account verification, tickets, orders, refunds, event changes, security, support, and these Terms by email, push notification, or through Trekko. You may disable push notifications in your device settings, but you remain responsible for checking your email and account for important order or event notices.
Trekko lets you exchange messages with organizers. Treat those messages as communications with the organizer. Do not use messaging to harass, threaten, deceive, spam, or send unlawful content.
Your content
You retain ownership of profile text, photos, messages, and other content you submit. You grant Trekko a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, sublicensable to our service providers and the relevant organizer, to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and transmit that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Trekko services. For content you make public, the license also allows us to display that content to describe or promote Trekko. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained in backups, transaction records, or records we must keep by law.
You must have the rights needed to submit your content. Do not submit content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, abusive, sexually exploitative, or that exposes another person's private information without permission. You are responsible for obtaining permission to use another person's name, image, or likeness. We may remove content that violates these Terms, but we do not undertake to review all content before it appears.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Trekko. This includes fraud, chargeback abuse, ticket counterfeiting, unauthorized resale, scraping, automated account creation, interference with security or rate limits, reverse engineering except where law permits it, introducing malicious code, or using another person's account or payment method without permission. You may not use Trekko to violate law or another person's rights.
Trekko property
Trekko and its licensors own the service, software, designs, logos, and other materials we provide, excluding organizer listings and your content. These Terms give you only a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the consumer service as intended. If you send feedback, Trekko may use it without restriction or payment.
Suspension and account deletion
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably needed to protect users, organizers, Trekko, or the service; investigate fraud or security concerns; comply with law; or address a violation of these Terms. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to resolve the issue.
You may start account deletion through the Delete account link in the app or by visiting the account deletion instructions. You may also email support@trekkoapp.com. We will verify the request. Deleting an account may end access to tickets and messages. We may retain transaction, refund, dispute, fraud-prevention, admission, and other records as described in the Privacy Policy or required by law.
When these Terms end, provisions that by their nature must continue will survive. This includes ownership and licenses, transaction and payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and record-retention rights.
Third-party services
Trekko relies on third-party services for identity, payments, hosting, analytics, communications, maps, and app distribution. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply to their services. Trekko is not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trekko provides its service on an "as is" and "as available" basis without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will always be available, error-free, or secure, or that an event will occur as listed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trekko is not responsible for the acts or omissions of organizers, venues, performers, attendees, or other third parties, including event cancellation, personal injury, property loss, admission decisions, or listing inaccuracies. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Trekko does not promise that an organizer, attendee, or other user is who they claim to be, has completed a background check, or will act lawfully. Any verification, moderation, recommendation, ranking, or removal decision is not an endorsement or guarantee. You are responsible for your interactions with other people through Trekko and at events.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trekko and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities. Trekko's total liability arising from the consumer service will not exceed the greater of the Trekko fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim or $100. These limits do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.
Your responsibility to Trekko
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and reimburse Trekko, its affiliates, and their personnel for third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful misuse of Trekko, your content, or your material violation of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent Trekko caused the claim.
Events beyond our control
Trekko is not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including power, internet, cloud, payment-network, or telecommunications failures; natural disasters; epidemics; war; terrorism; civil unrest; labor disputes; government action; or failures of an organizer or other third party. This section does not excuse a refund or other duty that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Disputes and governing law
Before filing a claim, you and Trekko agree to try in good faith for 30 days to resolve it through support@trekkoapp.com. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or filing in small claims court before a deadline expires.
Delaware law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Claims must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and each party consents to those courts. You may still bring an eligible claim in small claims court, and this section does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or a forum that applicable law does not allow you to waive.
Changes to Trekko or these Terms
We may change or discontinue features and may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through Trekko or the contact information on your account. Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
General terms
If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign your account or these Terms without our consent. Trekko may assign these Terms as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of its business. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the terms shown at checkout are the entire agreement about the covered consumer services. A signed organizer agreement separately governs organizer business use.
Section headings are for convenience. These Terms do not give rights to anyone other than you and Trekko. Notices may be delivered through Trekko, by email to the address on your account, or as otherwise required by law. Electronic notices and records satisfy written-notice requirements where the law permits.
